Tell Whoever the business, the dropped work, and the hard line the employee must not cross.

What Whoever does, exactly.
Customer-facing operational overview · last updated August 26, 2026
Whoever is an employment agency where the staff are AI. A business owner describes the work that keeps falling through; Whoever designs a phone employee for that job, writes the brief down, and lets the owner audition the employee before paying.
Read and correct the brief, verify the owner mobile, then authorize a limited audition on a real phone number.
If the employee earns the job, the same number, approved brief, and taught knowledge stay with them. Cancel anytime.
The product loop
| Stage | What happens | Owner control |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Design | Whoever asks what business you run, where work falls through, and what the employee must know or never do. | The recruiter's ideas are proposals, not business facts. |
| 2. Review | A written employee brief arrives after the call. It identifies the proposed role, duties, boundaries, known facts, and missing facts. | Reply BUILD to continue or CORRECT in plain English. Nothing is provisioned from an unapproved brief. |
| 3. Authorize | The owner verifies the mobile receiving the claim and accepts the audition terms. | Authorization, not the recruiter call, is the permission to provision the employee. |
| 4. Audition | The employee gets a phone number, introduces themself to the owner, and can be called by the owner or a test customer. | The audition is card-free and limited. Its limits are shown before authorization. |
| 5. Teach | The verified owner can teach facts and operating instructions by texting the employee's number. | The employee reads changes back. UNDO reverses the newest lesson. |
| 6. Work | The employee answers callers within the approved role, collects useful details, continues by text when appropriate, and sends the owner a summary. | Unknown stays unknown. Booking details remain requests for the owner to confirm. |
| 7. Keep | After the audition, the owner can retain the employee for CA$149 per month. | Keeping them preserves the number and training. Cancel anytime. |
What a Whoever employee is
A Whoever employee is an AI-operated phone and text worker with a specific job, business facts, boundaries, and an owner. The employee is not a general-purpose chatbot and is not authorized to improvise the business.
Answers
Works the assigned phone line using the role and facts the owner approved.
Collects
Asks for the details the business needs without inventing prices, availability, policy, or commitments.
Reports
Sends the owner a useful summary and a branded View call card after completed customer calls.
Learns
Accepts plain-English lessons from the verified owner mobile and keeps an undoable history of changes.
What Whoever Records adds
A call summary is the immediate owner handoff. Whoever Records is the deeper action-and-proof layer: when the completed-call connection is configured, structured call information can create a private, reviewable work record with the request, evidence, next action, progress, and owner notes kept together.
Important boundary: a Record begins as the owner's private draft. The customer does not receive a record link until the owner reviews and publishes it. The owner's internal notes and the customer's view remain separate.
Operating boundaries
- They are AI employees. They say so plainly when asked. The product is not designed around fooling callers.
- Unknown stays unknown. If an answer is not in the approved job or taught knowledge, the safe move is to take a message or ask the owner.
- The owner has the final word. Booking details are requests to confirm, not unilateral commitments.
- Configuration matters. Phone, text, summary, and Records behaviour depends on the employee's approved runtime and connected services.
- High-risk work is not a casual template. Emergency, regulated, or sensitive roles require review rather than automatic provisioning.
- Canada is the current service area. US availability follows the carrier registration required for reliable business texting.
Privacy, recording, and messaging
Calls to service and demonstration lines may be recorded and transcribed so the employee can perform the work and the owner can receive a useful handoff. Business texting follows the consent, sender-identification, help, and opt-out rules described in the SMS Messaging Terms. The broader data practices are in the Privacy Policy and the service agreement is in the Terms.
The quickest way to understand it is to use the desk.
